Nobody's Perfect Masterclass with Dawn Jones-Cooper

July 01, 2019

Discover the story behind Nobody's Perfect - Chateau Monfaucon - Bordeaux, Entre-Deux-Mers

Try 5 wines with Dawn Jones-Cooper the winemaker.

She will tell you the amazing story behind her wines (so far). How she became a winemaker. How she is making such a delicious range of white wine. What is the challenge to be a winemaker in Bordeaux area. She will reply to all your questions!

The organic Bordeaux estate is also using biodynamic principles to create an environment where the grapes are grown in harmony with nature and the biosphere, allowing the terroir to express its full potential.
The same principles are applied in the winery, to deliver a naturally good result. All of her hand-crafted wines are lower in alcohol, to offer a fruit-driven wine that can be enjoyed as an aperitif, at any time of the day, or at the table.

Aphrodisiac-laden Valentine's Day

February 14, 2019

Stimulate your senses with a romantic Valentine’s Day Menu filled with aphrodisiac ingredients available for couples to enjoy at Lady of the Grapes.

Oyster, langoustine, ginger, cloves, saffron, celery and dark chocolate are among the ingredients featured in the five-course menu sure to get your heart racing.

What’s more the wines carefully-selected to match with the dishes have all been lovingly made by couples too. British couple Sandra and Philip Kelton make organic and biodynamic wines in South West France and Maria and Robert Sinskey produce luxuriously elegant wines in California.

Aphrodisiacs are named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty.

Chocolate in itself is a sensuous food, plus it contains the chemicals anandamide and phenylethylamine, which boost serotonin levels - the feel-good hormone. Celery might not be seen as the sexiest of foods, but it contains phyto-androgens, which is similar to testosterone.

Aphrodisiac Menu is priced £60 per couple or £160 per couple with matching wines.

To book telephone 020 7836 4152.
