TASTING with NIVARD
Tasting with Nivard, are devoted to spreading knowledge and love of cheese & wine through iconic tasting experiences in London – at restaurants, in your home and (soon) in supper clubs.
Cheese and wine connoisseur Geoffrey Nivard began his mission when he moved to London from Loire Valley – one of France’s most reputable gastronomical areas – so knows a thing or two about artisan cheese & wine.
What started as small tastings with friends in his modest Stockwell home, grew to tastings with friends of friends, and has now become the go-to experience in some of London’s most renowned restaurants.
Their story continues, but their concept is unchanged: high quality/artisan cheese & wine, sourced from around-the-world, shared with knowledge and love.
LADY of the GRAPES
Their team aim is to ensure each and every customer has a delightful epicurean experience while supporting female winemakers.
Lady of the Grapes can accommodate 30 guests and the carefully-curated list features 180 different wines, including 25 available by the glass
Focusing on organic, biodynamic and natural wines more than half the list features wines made by female winemakers.
They believe that complex and fascinating flavours of wine are impossible to achieve via conventional wine-making methods. Organic, biodynamic, minimal intervention viticulture ensures the consumer only tastes the grapes and terroir. All the wines on the list contain no additives, low sulfites and indigenous yeasts only.

Aphrodisiac-laden Valentine's Day
February 14, 2019
Stimulate your senses with a romantic Valentine’s Day Menu filled with aphrodisiac ingredients available for couples to enjoy at Lady of the Grapes.
Oyster, langoustine, ginger, cloves, saffron, celery and dark chocolate are among the ingredients featured in the five-course menu sure to get your heart racing.
What’s more the wines carefully-selected to match with the dishes have all been lovingly made by couples too. British couple Sandra and Philip Kelton make organic and biodynamic wines in South West France and Maria and Robert Sinskey produce luxuriously elegant wines in California.
Aphrodisiacs are named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty.
Chocolate in itself is a sensuous food, plus it contains the chemicals anandamide and phenylethylamine, which boost serotonin levels - the feel-good hormone. Celery might not be seen as the sexiest of foods, but it contains phyto-androgens, which is similar to testosterone.
Aphrodisiac Menu is priced £60 per couple or £160 per couple with matching wines.
